DHANBAD: The governing board of the Indian School of Mines (ISM) here on Tuesday agreed to the demands of the students and teachers to upgrade ISM to that of an IIT. The decision was taken after over 2,500 students of the mining school boycotted classes and went on a wildcat strike earlier in the day over the issue. Their teachers also joined in the demonstrations. The chairman of the governing council, P K Laheri, asked the ISM director to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) within three months and that would be sent to the Union ministry of human resources. The council even passed a resolution, recommending an IIT status for ISM.

The ISMAA team is identifying a top-notch team of members to form the new ISMAA Content Development Team for the website. This new team will solely focus on collecting and posting the news and events on the website in a creative and impressive manner. Instead of working in relative secrecy, the ICDT will have a strong public-facing presence and its members will be approachable quite easlily. The new ICDT will call the new Joomla! Security Center their home base. The Security Center provides a public presence for security issues and a platform for the JSST to help the general public better understand security and how it relates to Joomla!. The Security Center also offers users a clearer understanding of how security issues are handled. There's also a news feed, which provides subscribers an up-to-the-minute notification of security issues as they arise. |
